WELCOME TO BABEL was shortlisted for the NSW Digital History Prize 2025

In late August 2025 Director James Bradley attended the extraordinary Beyond Borders International Documentary Festival on the magical Greek island of Kastellorizo. A large and enthusiastic audience watched Welcome to Babel on the big outdoor screen in Memorial Statue Square as part of the Main Competition and may discussions about the film took place over the following days in the many cafes and restaurants around Megisti Harbour.

At the prestigious Film Critics Circle of Australia Awards held at the Paddington RSL on Monday 12th May 2025, James Bradley and Graeme Isaac received an award for best feature documentary. In a dramatic twist announced by FCCA President and MC Rod Quinn, two films were presented with awards in this category, the other being Matty Hannon’s The Road to Patagonia.
